RoboNexus Wrapup - Scooba

Posted on 10/10/2005 by wcox in Industry
Ok, so just a wrap-up on all the Scooba news:

Scooba is iRobot's newest product - a floor cleaning robot, but this time it scrubs/mops your floors. The Scooba will cover 150 sq/ft (14 sq/m) of floorspace. The Scooba is programmed to cover each section of floor four times to get it extra clean. iRobot said it would get about 97% coverage.

The batteries charge lasts for 1 hr, and each cleaning tank (clean water + cleaning solution) contains 1 liter of fluid.

In the video of it cleaning, you can see it left behind some liquid. This will change for the release version.

The Scooba will start selling on iRobot's website by the end of this month, and will be in stores in time for Christmas 2005. It will retail for $399. In the meantime, be sure to check out the Roomba lineup at Amazon. [Buy Scooba off of Amazon]
