Neato Robotics announced today the release of the new Neato Botvac D7 Connected and it will be available at RobotShop in Q4 2017. The Neato Botvac D7 Connected is the latest of the D Connected Series. It will contain all the features from the Neato Botvac D5 Connected, but there will be a few additions; It will features a Spiral Combo Brush, a Side Brush, Ultra Performance filters and a Lithium battery. The Neato Botvac D7 Connected support Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Neato Chatbot and IFTTT. The Neato Botvac D7™ Connected is Neato’s most intelligent and powerful model to date. The new Neato FloorPlanner™ Advanced Mapping & Cleaning Technology allows users to create a Cleaning Map of their home. The Neato Botvac D7™ Connected is also launching with IFTTT compatibility, giving customers full control over their robot vacuum with flexibility and convenience – leading the way in the connected smart home.
After scanning the home in Discovery Mode or through a normal clean, the robot creates the user’s personalized MyFloorPlan™. This feature is accessible via the Neato app. Users will then be able to set virtual “No-Go” Lines to avoid specific areas they do not want cleaned. This ensures the robot always knows where to clean and where not to clean, eliminating the need for any physical barriers. The Cleaning Summary Map will show where the robot has vacuumed, as well as any issues or obstacles that prevented a complete clean.
These new additions allow Neato robot vacuums to weave themselves seamlessly into the connected home, allowing wider integration with Apple Watch, Neato ChatBot for Facebook, Amazon Alexa and Google Home. The Botvac D7™ Connected is updatable over-the-air to ensure its software is current with the latest features – including increased smart home device support, and cutting edge technology innovations that emerge from the Neato Developer Network. Neato’s patented LaserSmart™ technology allows the Botvac D7™ Connected to map and navigate multiple rooms with ultimate precision. The new model features robust suction, an ultra-performance filter, turbo mode and improved brush system for the most advanced SpinFlow™ cleaning power and greater care around furniture, even in the dark. The Botvac D7™ Connected’s unique D-shape design allows it to get deep into corners and close to walls, while it’s new metallic finish ensures the robot vacuum is even more durable, resisting scratches and dings.
The next generation of the Neato App will be available alongside the Botvac D7™ Connected at launch, offering an enhanced modern look and feel, additional alerts and an improved cleaning summary with detailed coverage maps. With this release, Neato’s entire Connected line (Botvac D3™ Connected, Botvac D5™ Connected and Botvac™ Connected) now support Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Neato Chatbot for Facebook and IFTTT. The Botvac D7™ Connected is Neato’s most advanced robot vacuum, further underscoring Neato’s commitment to innovation that enhances people’s lives.
