Pinokio Face Tracking LampPinokio Face Tracking Lamp
Students from Victoria University (Toronto, Canada) created a real-life version of the Disney Pixar lamp and called it "Pinokio". This playful robot can detect and track faces and also express emotions using its movements and reactions. It uses servo motors to actuate its segments and OpenCV for the vision processing. The only thing missing is probably an actual light! http://vimeo.com/sszhou/lamp We particularly enjoy its stubborn character and how it refuses to be turned off. Would you like to have a stubborn robot? Leave your comments below. Via Hacked Gadgets.
