Nigel Ackland had the misfortune of losing his hand in an accident. He is now the proud owner (and tester) of a BeBionic3 robot hand.  This bionic prosthesis senses the electrical activity in his arm muscles and activates gripping or wrist rotating actions accordingly, allowing the user to move the hand "naturally". As the video below illustrates, this hand and its various gripping modes can be very convenient and provides increased autonomy for disabled people. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qUPnnROxvY Fortunately this hand is advanced enough to enable its user to accomplish even one of the most delicate and important tasks: pouring beer while preventing too much head.
