Amazon Buys Kiva Systems, The Largest Acquisition in Robot History?

The giant Internet retailer Amazon announced earlier this week the acquisition of Kiva Systems, the creators of a ground-breaking robotic order fulfillment system. The transaction will amount to a whooping 775 M$. See the video below to have a better understanding of why Amazon believes this robotic company is worth so much to them. This must be one of the biggest acquisitions in the robotics industry history and shows how much more valuable robots are getting in today's society as they can autonomously accomplish more meaningful work.
