Planet-Science's
Robotics Trophies have been held annually in France
since 1993 (except in 2006 when they were held in Belgium).
Participants are aged between
7 and 18 years, in teams of two (driver and co-driver), and their mission is
to build wire-controlled play robots.
The focus and learning revolve around mechanics, electricity, computers and electronics.
The theme for 2010 is
the world in all its forms.
The teams have 6 months to prepare and they
compete in tournaments in which they must perform specific actions, focusing on the technology used and the skill of the pilot.
