Albert, the Belgian robot (Liège)

Posted on 11/05/2010 by vabry in Competitions
Albert Robot Albert is a robot which has been developed by engineering students at the University of Liège in Belgium. Albert will represent Belgium at the end of May in a competition organized by Eurobots in Switzerland. The students who previously finished in 27th place hope this time to rank among the top thanks to their creation. The prototype moves by itself avoiding obstacles, it can climb slopes and retrieve color balls autonomously. The young people confess to having spent hundreds of hours on it, including their holidays to achieve this rather promising result. If they manage to rank highly, there's no doubt they stand a chance of being noticed by companies who will perhaps want to hire them!
