Writing Robot automation

Hello everybody!

We own a ecommerce brand where we want to put handwritten “thank you” cards into each order. Therefor we are looking for a writing robot which can handle the process of writing and putting a new card back in place like in this video : Schreibroboter Sophie - handgeschrieben.ch - YouTube I don´t have a technical background so I have no idea what is necessary. I would be very thankful to receive some advices!

But, have you seen the AxiDraw machines that we sell: Evil Mad Scientist - RobotShop ?

Thanks for the fast answer :slight_smile: Yes I saw the Axidraw machines but I think I will have to place each card manually below the machine once one is finished right? Or is there a mechanism that pulls a card from a stack and places it below the Axidraw so it works fully automated?

Maybe this is a dumb question but as I said I have no technical background :slight_smile:

No, it is not a stupid question and you are not the first one to ask :slight_smile:

You are right, you would have to feed paper manually.

Unfortunately, Axidraw doesn’t provide automatic solution for this: Topic: Autofeed paper Machine | Evil Mad Scientist Laboratories

You can make such a robot using Arduino, CNC shield A4988 motor drivers and some more components. You can see the whole procedure and get idea about the costing too from here: Make DIY Homework Writing Machine at Home - Arduino Project Hub
