Where to buy small PMSM motors?

Hello everyone,

Does anybody know where I can buy a small PMSM (similar in size with iPower GBM4108H-120T, GM5208-24)? It seems like everyone is selling only BLDCs. I need a PMSM for it’s sinusoidal back-EMF.

Does it have to be a pancake style motor? Most of these are BLDC.

But here is one pancake stepper motor: Pololu - Sanyo Pancake Stepper Motor: Bipolar, 200 Steps/Rev, 42×18.6mm, 5.4V, 1 A/Phase

Thanks for the answer.

I don’t need a stepper motor. To be more clear, by PMSM I mean a permanent magnet synchronous motor.

It doesn’t necessarily have to be a flat/pancake motor.

I’m starting to question whether the motors being advertised and sold as BLDCs are actually that (take the gimbal iPower motors as example). Or are they PMSMs? The only difference is that BLDC’s generate a trapezoidal shape back-EMF, while the PMSMs generate a sinusoidal shape back-EMF. I’ve just read somewhere that “most brushless outrunners (including gimbal motors) have sinusoidal back-EMF”. So, I’m really confused now. If that’s the case, then why is everyone advertising them as BLDCs, and why are they not clear about what they are selling?
