Hello dear community!

To complete your vote, select a minimum of 1 option, up to 10 options max, in the list provided below. We’ll close the voting poll on December 18th. The results will be revealed in a blog later after that!

Which ones do YOU consider to be the top 10 robots of the decade?

CONTEXT
In 2010, we had this piece about the top 10 robots of the decade. 10 years later, in 2020, we’d like to prepare a new top ten that represents this last 10 years. They can be professional, industrial, domestic, small, big, from the science, consumer, hobby, military, toy industry, etc.

The goal is to highlight some of the great inventions of the past ten years (Ideally from 2010-Present day)! Which robots made an impact on our culture or had a lasting impact on robotics?

I invite you guys to tell us, according to you, what are the robots we should include in our top 10 of the decade?

Wow. Hmm good question, is it creating design autonomously? Works with magnets?
It does create nice patterns; would be nice on a beach

Hi @Mariane
if that’s the definition of a Bot, then only Disney and Pixar have created Bots…
Beside random based design-rules, I haven’t seen any creativity in a Bot.

That’s a nice idea for ‘candid camera’

I think that Boston Dynamics Spot and Hanson Robotics Sophia should be included in the list. These are 2 things that pop up in my head.

Thanks @LoidLiu!
I agree! They are probably the most popular robots of the decade.

I just saw Star Wars IX making of and was surprised that the Babu Frik figure was a real robot.
13! microservos in his head (not bigger than a fist) make his face move.
A masterpiece of engineering…
