Unable to connect

Have u all ever managed to find out ; the cause of the PICAXE28x1 unable to connect to the pc/ download the program into.

I got my first picaxe few weeks back and did my first start here bots.

Everything goes fine , got it running well. here and there.

 

Now i unable to download a program in. It say :

check the power supply to the board,

check if its connected to the pc from the download cable,

Press and hold reset till the download bar appers to reset the board.

 

None of this works.

I've check my power. its operating at 5v. Thats fine from the manual to supply in 5v.

Anyone here, experience this before. thanks

This are quite long n still

This are quite long n still have not unable to make the board running again. Ignored the previous post n reply from me.

Few weeks ago, I assumed the board or the pic damaged.

so ive decided to get a new board and new pic.

Still it can download the program to the picaxe.

Im using software version 5.2.2

Still using the serial cable with the serial to usb converter.

 

The only thing left will be the cable cos thats the only thing left unchanged to troubleshoot.

Do u think its the cable problem.

I did the test setup available on the software when u used multimeter to test will there be high signal on the input pin upoon clcik the led button. No high signal appear on themultimeter also.

 

Should i get a new cable ?? need advise…thanks
