i need a traction system which can climb a 7 inch with ease what kind of a traction will you recommend also tell me where i can get the parts and the approximate cost…the bot must not have legs…

Welcome to the RobotShop Forum. To clarify, you would like to climb a 7" step? Traction is less of an issue than the actual mechanical configuration. Most stair climbing robots use tracks and brute force. If you would like to consider this approach, take a look at the Lynxmotion 2" and 3" tracks and sprockets. The tracks use rubber as the contact surface. If you want a platform already built, consider theSuperdroids LT-F.
