Wow, those are pretty nice.
It says they are made of Delrin which is about as indestructable as plastic gets. The only problem I can see is this material is also very slippery by nature. So you would definately have to glue rubber pads on the tread which comes to the second problem, Delrin is also practically impossible to glue to anything. Although I guess you could overcome that by drilling small holes in it and putting recessed fastners in the tread to hold the pads on.
Good find. I’m going to wait though and see what Jim comes up with in a few weeks from the post on the other discussion tread.
BTW, don’t ask him if they are done yet, he made us promise not to pester him. Which is killing me!
Those are the exact same Treads you can buy at Radio Shack, which is currently selling off all of their Vex stuff at half price, so if you can find them, you can buy them for $15.00.
I glued rubber O’Ring stock to a pair of mine. Crazy Glue for Plastics works just fine, but if you want to spend the money, Loctite 404 works wonders!
