Happy B-day Zenta! My B-day came and went without notice Anyway, I have a question about the DB9 connectors on the BB2 and the SSC-32. It looks like the stand-offs are very close to the connector and from the angle the pictures were taken, it looks like it might interfere with the 9 pin receptacle from making a nice square connection. Can you plug a cable all the way on both boards with them installed in the chassis?
Just seen the picture you posted on my “hexapod art gallery” on micromagic… had to know more…
I figured your new super hex would be on here… ive never really looked through the lynx forum, but will be doing a lot of digging now!
This new hex is cool, well done! Its lit many little lightbulbs above my head, loads of new ideas now! You keep making stuff that makes all the rest of our a bit rubbish! haha!
Zenta, I was curious about the current design. I posted this already but it got buried quickly so here is a copy/paste of the original:

You are absolutely correct! Thats one/two engineer/design mistake I didn’t think of when making the hand drawings. But it can easily be solved by simply removing the spacer. Another solution is a little adjustment in the design. But I didn’t bother to spend more time on cutting out a new body. Also the SSC32 com plug is a little close to the power switch panel. Lucky me its on the same side for both the BB2 and SSC32 com plug, so I simply modified my serial cabel connector… But also this can be solved with some small adjustment.
Im more than happy to share my ideas… sadly they seem slightly eclipsed by your imagination, skill and by the looks of it huge collection of SES brackets! haha! I need to dedicate more time to playing about with my hex’s!
Wow zenta, that’s absolutely amazing. Functionality-wise, this is the best 4-DOF leg design I ever seen. The single leg post really show the advantage of the 4th DOF. I can already imagine T-Hex run over another mech and stomp on it with its belly.
