This is robot SPR-Bitz. At the moment it's comprised of bits of leftover 3d Printer filiment thay I had from other projects. It's based on a poppy 3d printed robot. The exterior is where the similarities end for the most part. I'm using regular standard hobby servos rated at 4.3kg.cm which are so far good enough to make the arms move and wave. The Abs plastic unfortunately is the weak link for payload so many redesigns will follow. As you can see from my 3 yr old son's highchair "Bitz" is going to be a fair size. Almost a meter tall when finished. So far it's controlled via lynxmotion ssc 32 servo controller and my computer. Eventually an arduino uno will host code and interface with an android phone to make use of the sensors and video presence capabilities. I plan to build tracks on each foot to help make manuverability a little quicker but still maintain the biped structure for tasks such as climbing up stairs and over things. Any help along the way will be greatly appreciated.
