First question When I connect to sphero to my laptop I would need visual studio 2013, can I use visual sequencer instead? 
Second question, if I per chase the Bluetooth controller kid and flowbotic studio, can I then connect to sphero and control from controller?

The Visual Sequencer is very different from Visual Studio: the Visual Sequencer is made to build movement sequences specifically for the SSC-32 Servo Controller Board, and will not work with Sphero’s protocol.
But Yes, you can use FlowBotics Studio to make a program to convert signals from the bluetooth controller into commands you can send via the Bluetooth serial port to Sphero. Here’s the API reference we found for Sphero:
