I have a skimbot bought from robot shop just over 2 years ago
it has just stopped working . if I press start button twice it goes through its sequence of startup beeps then switches off without paddles starting. Charging light is not coming on.
if I press start button once pause light comes on for a few seconds then stays off.
anyone know what the fault is?

Hi @Robertnarewski1 and welcome to our forum.
Delete the app, reinstall it, and then try connecting to the unit again.
You may have to hard reset the unit by holding the power button on the unit itself for 3-5 seconds.
All the lights should go off and come back on.

no, sorry, this doesn’t work. firstly the app won’t pair to the skimbot as although the app finds the device it can’t connect because the skimbot is off and I can’t switch it on other than to pause and that turns off before they can pair.
Holding the start button down as suggested to reset does not do anything.

Is the robot charged sufficiently?
skimbot goes through the startup series of beeps when the on switch is pressed but then fails to start. the charge indicator does not light up at any time. I have checked the battery voltage with a meter which reads at 9.4volts
