ok im looking to get some more servos soon and im shore this question
has been asked befor so if some one give me some adivce or point me
in the right direction that would be great. i know with servos you get what you pay for but good servos are so exspencive.
my ? is has anyone used futaba servos and is there any modifications
needed to the brakets for them to work.
or what are my other choices as far as good servos go
Well picking out servo’s always depends on what you want to do with them. if whatever you’re using them for needs allot of torque, make sure you buy a strong servo. or maybe you’re looking for something that doesn’t barely require and torque at all?
The brackets were designed around the Hitec/RCD servos however other brands may fit… some better than others. I don’t believe I have yet seen anybody compile a list per-se of which work better or worse than others.
My brat started with Hitec 645MG’s. As the payload increased topside I found them struggling to maintain an upright posture. I have since upgraded the thigh and knee servos to Hitec 5990TG’s and am much happier. Best advice, buy one a month, you’ll be happier in the long run and spent less.
