Can you suggest us when an electronic circuit needs fuse or circuit breakers and capacitors? Does a small circuit breaker which can be soldered on the PCB board exist ?

Hi,

Fuse and capacitors are totally different components. There is too much to be learned here to do a quick forum post. We would suggest you get books or lessons in electronic design.

As for existing circuits, there are fuse holders with wires that can be soldered but you need to make sure you get the right value for your design.

Unfortunately the RobotShop team cannot teach you how to properly design a PCB and how to take all safety precautions.
Electronic design is a job on its own and cannot be resumed in short terms.

Hi,
We are use a AC servo motor and the driver works directly from main supply.We want to use a battery+inverter by using DPDT relay which powers the motor when there is no power supply. For that is the phase synchronization necessary for such a circuit and if yes how can it be done?

Again this is a design question. We cannot tel you how to design, you will need to learn electronics. We recommend buying a book on the subject or taking electronic class.

If you need to build a synchrone system we cannot help you here. You might be more lucky using a ready made UPS battery backup system.

We want to use 6 Lithium ion 18650 batteries(unprotected,3.7,4000mAH) in 3S2P connection to get 11.1V,8000mAH in the resultant combination. Is it better to give undervoltage protection to the batteries as a whole or to each battery individually?

Hi,

Making your own battery pack by connecting Lithium Ion batteries in parallel is very dangerous. We cannot advise you to do that or assist you in any way for this project. You should do advanced research on these types of batteries before trying anything.

So if i put lithium ion cells in 3S combination,is it better to give under voltage protection as a whole or individually. Also we are planning to charge and discharge the cells simultaneously. I mean, a charger will be placed which will charge the batteries parallely when we use them to provide power. Is it ok?

Checking voltage protection individually would be better. As for charging, it would be best to disconnect them for charging.
