Can the 4wd rovers handle sand?..i have a metal detector related bot idea for the beach
The A4WD1 rovers have 5" off road R/C truck wheels and tires, so they should be able to go where ever similarly equipped R/C trucks can go. I’m working on a modification to the A4WD1 chassis that would give greatly increased ground clearance that could be varied according to the terrain that has to be navigated. I just need to get some 3D CAD stuff done so I can play with various possibilities.

That’s a good question because sand can find it’s way anywhere and everywhere. I think it would probably be fine since the bot is not going to be doing doughnuts in the sand. 
I would do a close inspection after each use to see if there needs to be any cleaning done around any moving parts.
