Sabertooth 2x32 and Flysky FS ia6x

I have a problem. Sabertooth 2x32 with brushed motors. Motor 1 is left, 2 is right. Set up flysky FS-ia6x with mode 1 and mix commands. On the flysky, everything looks good. On robot, pushing stick forward or reverse moves fine. Stick left and bot turns right, stick right and bot turns left. But more troubling is that the reverse motor is always going at half speed. Any thoughts? Problem with sabertooth? With transmitter? The display on the flysky is correct–both turning and F/R. UPDATE: wires were wrong on the motors. Got it all sorted and works fine.

The Sabertooth 2x32 is a flexible controller for brushed DC motors, however it may be prone to difficulties. Common difficulties include motor output not functioning, electromagnetic brake issues, motor speed issues, software and hardware damage, and ESC calibration issues. To remedy these, replace motor wires, verify motor specs, calibrate the remote control, and try alternate DIP switch configurations. If the problem continues, contact the manufacturer’s support and troubleshooting instructions. To guarantee appropriate operation, examine the Sabertooth Basic Troubleshooting guide, contact Dimension Engineering for additional help, and confirm the power supply is right

Thank you very much for the information. My Sabertooth is very old so I wouldn’t be surprised at difficulties. As I posted above, good news is that I sorted it out and seems to be working now. The left/right issues were my own wiring error. The half-speed issue seems to have cleared itself up and I can’t put a finger on exactly how. But I’m happy.
