Rover turns off sometimes when running on battery?

Hi Coleman,

Thanks very much, as usual.

What do you think about a battery pack like this:

It’s relatively lightweight.

Many thanks,

Hi Coleman,

Thanks for your help with this.

I’m trying to work out the best way to power my rover. I’ve got:

  • The standard rover and 3v motors
  • Two 4.8-6v servos
  • One 8-9v wireless camera (I’ve tried running this off an ordinary 9v battery, but when the voltage drops below about 8v the camera doesn’t want to know)

I’d ideally like to have just one battery (maybe a 9v and some voltage regulators to get me power for the servos and for the motors/board) - is this kind of arrangement likely to work? Or am I better off using 4AAs for the board/motors/servos and a higher-capacity 9v for the camera?

Many thanks,
alec

Thankyou
