Thank you.
I will probally add them after I get this moving and have the arm working and added.
Well, this is really great.
Well, this is really great. I hope that you can continue to add to this robot so that it can do more things. Thank you for sharing this with us and I hope that you will have many years of creation in you.
Building robots is not an easy thing to do even if you follow sports and the talent here that these guys show is really amazing so the robots work rather well.
Thank you.
There will be an update coming soon with the arm added and the robot navigating.
I like the idea how you
I like the idea how you attached the sensor.
My friend and I entered the
My friend and I entered the Google Science Fair as well, although our project wasn’t based on robotics. Good luck!
Good luck to you too.
What was your project about?
It was about using
It was about using competition to boost a student’s motivation. Here’s the link to our site: https://sites.google.com/a/googlesciencefair.com/science-fair-2012-project-ahjzfnnjawvuy2vmywlyltiwmtjydwssb1byb2ply3qy1iaida?previewAsViewer=1
Sounds very interesting.
And I bet it’s true. I alway do everything better when somethings a competion. Including in school.
Looking Gooddd!!
well done mate!!! i like your idea for this robot!!! if you have a chance can i ask you some detials on it please?? thanks alot
Looking Good…!!!
your robot looks awsome man… i really liked the idea how you installed that sensor. i am currently working on a robot which basicly have the same concept since my robot will be navigating through an entire room and while doing so i will be sensing for any metal elements. although i have some issues with the coding of the ultrasonic sensor since the robot it sometimes getting confussed what he really should do. who knows maybe you could help me into solve this : )
Thanks alot,
Nick

Sure.
I’ll be happy to help. So how/when does your robot become confused? With the ultrasonic sensors you need a pause after you trigger it. Here is some good information about them: https://www.robotshop.com/letsmakerobots/node/66
That is where I learned how to hook up the ultrasonic sensors.
Thanks
Thanks, actually by robot has 4 ultrasonic sensors (1 on each side) and its coding is that first only the front is on, while there is no obstacle infront, the robot will move foward, once that front u_sonic have detected an obstacle, what will happen is this. The front u_sonic turns off, the left u_sonic is triggered and its value is stored, the right u_sonic is triggered and its value is stored too, than depends which value is bigger the robot will turn accordingly. And the robot is doing so but at a point the robot just stops and start turning left and right randomly ( its like he cannot decide what to do next ) after some seconds the robot starts working normally again.
I will be uploading a video soon may be you can see what its doing too. Now i am still trying to solve this bug on my robot.
Btw thanks for that link you’ve sent me… Its very useful…!!
I will check out you video when you post it.
I would offer to look threw your code but I don’t know any C. Learning its on the to do list. =)
Hmmm ic!!
Hmmm ic, yes infact i started learning it lately since it is more accurate when it come to values for u_sonics since when i was working with assembly it was not working good…

about starter
hi i just bought in a rover and arduino board. where i can find some basic code to play with
thanks
Your going to need more then that.
First, your going to need to wire everything up and your probally going to need a motor driver to drive the rover. And just take it one step at a time. Start off simple and get more complex. And as for the arduino I don’t know. I’m just learning it myself. If you start a forum topic you can probally get more/better help and also other people will be able to find it.
Wow…
Its been a long time since I’ve been on here or even done anything robotics related. This summer I’ll be getting back in and hopefully doing a lot. So expect a lot more to come.
