I have made this project and it has token the past couple of days but here we are. I used 5 servos a pref boated for the body and a 9v battery along with a pier rail from a breadboard and pencil snapped in half for the legs.

Great! You can build a chassis for the spider robot like this one:
It has a 3D printed chassis. I believe this one will be more convenient.
