Real Life or Something Like It

i may have mentioned this in passing, but I’m divorcing my wife. I will file in the next couple of weeks. I could divorce her for cause but I’d rather do the simpler no-fault divorce because it will mean I can put this behind me much more quickly.

Unfortunately this means that I have to pack up all my stuff and anything I don’t want gets sold or given away. I’m assuming it will take about three months to get the house in order before I can find a new place and unpack again. Hopefully Lee will want to sell the house, but as long as I leave it to her in order, I’ll have done what I promised.

So I’m unpacking some boxes and sorting stuff into things I want and stuff she might want and stuff we can try to sell. I have a lot of books. I even found some stuff I wrote for a college creative writing course where the teacher hated my stuff because I wrote fantasy and SF. I read through some of it and it wasn’t as bad as I remember, but oh was my spelling bad. It was all typed on a manual typewriter and there was no spell checker to help me.

I will still be here, but I won’t be able to actually work on any robots until I get my robot stuff unpacked. :frowning:

Maybe I can keep a little something out so I have something to fiddle with.

Oh, my printer bit the big one and seems to be unfixable so I’ll be getting a new one as soon as possible.

its unfortunate man, but i
its unfortunate man, but i think you should give it a another try to work it out, since the mess will affect you thoroughly.

Sorry to hear you are

Sorry to hear you are getting divorced.   I can only imagine what you are feeling at this point.

I hope whereever you end up you can get your feet under you and make some time to do some building.  There is nothing like a cool project to take your mind off the pain you have in your life.

Wishing you all the best as you go through this tough time.  Good luck.

Regards,

Bill
