Questions about my hacked RC car arduino robot

I fail to find any info

1. I fail to find any info about how to interface with RC 2.7 ghz receivers. I would buy this one: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=16239

But I cant find any info about connecting it up to the arduino (or just any uC really). There is some code available, for example here: http://www.infohole.com/blog/robotics/arduino-mega-2-4ghz-rc-receiver-code/ but no wirining pics etc.

Do you have experience with RC receivers? There are RF link 434 Mhz transmitters / receivers that are well documented. But I want to use standard RC remote.

2. Can you use servo wires to plug in to the receiver. Like the following: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=9707

3. What torque would you recommend for steering 30cm monster truck ? What should be the speed? Any recommendations for a servo from hobbyking?

1. No idea.2. I think so.3.

1. No idea.

2. I think so.

3. This one? http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=2

Both, coils and capacitors

Both, coils and capacitors build a better noise filter than the capacitor only filter, especially when using PWM. I would further recommend:

  • twist the motor wires together
  • keep motor wires as short as possible
  • keep motor wires away from any sensor wires

Here is the diagram about suppression of brushed DC motor
