Hi,
I have a MAX4518 4 channel analog multiplexer
in this mux there is a pin named “com” wich, accordingly with the datasheet is “Analog Signal Common”
I use this for infrared sensors. This com pin is to be connected with the GND pin on sensors or with the Vref on sensors?
thanks

Which infrared sensors might be important so this is a wee bit of a guess, but if you look at the left hand picture on the first page of the data sheet you can see the COM pin is common to all 4 switches in the MUX. So whatever signal is the output from your sensors goes to a NO# pin and the COM pin goes to the input on your controller.
