I am under the gun to get some rough numbers quickly for what it might cost to manufacture the 4 items that follow. All have xBee pro 900 modules and antennas at a cost of around $50. The Arduino MEGAs are probably overkill but the programs are pretty large. Anyway, each unit could have its modules integrated onto a single card. I am listing roughly what I paid quantity one for a component that is usually serial based. Would love to hear thoughts on how much it is likely to cost in quantities of 500 or so for base and pilot and 5000 or so beacons. AndI need them yesterday, but before Friday works...
PM me if you want your name passed a long as a contact for a tru quote.

clarification
As mentioned in the first post, the listed prices are roughly what I paid for quantity one.
All I am looking for is a rough guess or even a “rule of thumb” (like half of what I paid retail, for example) to be used in a discussion with a potential buyer. If you want to follow up with a more complete work up, that’s fine but I can’t be sure of what level of involvement I will have in the future depending on whether a deal is struck and with who. I would pass on potential sources to look into at the least and may have continued responsibilities. I just don’t know; I am not involved in the discussions themselves, just being asked to provide information. Clear as mud. I will probably find out something during the spring.
