Total weight. Hmmm… I need to invest in a scale. If I were to guess I’d say it was around 3.5 to 4 oz.

The servo will move the tars. The motor is to drive the tracks in “tank” mode.

So I’ve got a bit more done with one of the legs. Still need to put a foot on it. I’ve got an idea for it, I just need to mill another piece. I’m pretty happy with it: it turned out more solid than I expected.

It might be some time before I’m able to continue building. I had an accident milling some delrin parts for my brother and I ruined the chuck on my spindle. I’ve got run out like crazy. So for now, I wait for a replacement.

In the mean time I think I’ll play around with programming.

I was machining some parts for my bro when the bit stuck. The depth of pass was a little too deep. The spindle kept spinning while the bit didn’t. That and the table trying to move wore the teeth out in the chuck. Now I can’t hold any off the tooling straight. Boohoo :angry: I don’t have a puller either so its gonna be cheaper to just replace the whole spindle.
Oh well, the new one has a better chuck and it was only $90

So I’ve been playing around with programming the propeller. SPIN is pretty cool, object based languages make tedious things very simple.

I’ve made a video of the leg joints just sweeping back and forth. I’m starting to get the hang of the language :smiley: and have some ideas on how I might create the gait engine.

P.S. I’m not sure how to embed this video :blush: . Little help please?
