As for the 2WD miniQ Robot Chassis Kit:
You can choose the parts after you are done with the tutorial so you can decide what parts you need depending on the type of robot you will build that kit to be.
But mainly you will need a battery, microcontroller, and motor shield.
You can also control the robot via Bluetooth, in this case, you can use Romeo BLE:
You can add sensors as well to the robot if you want it to be automated.
