Hi! I live in Montreal too! I was thinkiong maybe of going to a meeting of robomontreal, looks interesting. I didn’t know that McGill had comptetions? I guess it’s only for the students there?
Anyway, It’s cool to see I’m not the only one in the montreal area!! 
yea, it was for us students, the robot is still around. and id come to a rc 3kg sumo competition if one was held locally.
yeah, We planned on using 2 of those drill motors side by side but it leaves almost no room for wheels, they would have to slip over the motor housing. we dropped that idea when i stumbled across lynx motion tracks. I was pissed when i saw them on sale for 14$ haha we paid 68$ for two of em, it coulda been 26!!!
