Do you just want it to be motorized as opposed to robotic and autonomous?
If it’s just motorized and battery operated, you’d be looking to relicate a normal handheld sweeper which has a brushed or brushless DC motor connected to the brush (directly or through gearing). If you only want one speed, you can connect it directly to the battery via an On/Off switch. If you want to vary the speed, you’re best to use a DC motor controller.
If you want it to be mobile and autonomous, that’s a whole different questions and you’d have to learn a lot about robotics.
