Lynxmotion hquad500 and quadrino nano full wiring diagram?

This is normal when not in the air, have a look at MultiWii HERE.

Hi Eric,

I tried to fly my drone today, I put the props on and the motors all seemed to spin fine for a few seconds and then one by one they began to stop spinning, I had to disarm and arm the drone to get the motors to start again and everytime I did this they would spin for a few seconds and then stop spinning completely. Is there a problem with my motors or what is wrong?

Thanks

Simon

What’s the order of things happening exactly ?

  1. Arm the copter ?
  2. The motors spins or not ?
  3. Are you doing anything or just let them turn and they stop after a while ?

Yes so in this order:

  1. Arm the copter
  2. Give it some throttle
  3. Motors seem to spin fine for a few seconds and then stop

You might want to raise slightly the “Min Throttle” in WinGUI until it work great.

I raised the min throttle from 1150 to 1200 and now the motors dont spin at all. I disarmed the drone, disconnected the battery and turned the transmitter off (in that order) and then turned the transmitter back on and connected the battery and the ESC’s didn’t even make a noise this time. I armed the drone and the motors didn’t spin at all when I gave it Max throttle. Any ideas what the problem is?

This is not a normal behavior, are you sure you changed the “Min Throttle” not the “Min Command” ?

The ESC’s should ALWAYS make a noise when you power them no matter what is connected to them.
You might have a dead battery

Hi Eric,

I got this problem fixed and everything seems to be working.

My problem now is that when I go to take off my rear props seem to be spinning faster than my front props. The rear of the drone is lifting off the ground much faster than the front and this is making it very hard to control and is leading to lots of crashes. Is there any way to fix this?

thanks

Simon

Have you selected any flight modes ? If not then you really need to fly it keeping it straight yourself

what do you mean by flight modes? Where do I choose these?

It’s always recommended to read through the user manual to better understand it.
If you don’t know what is a “flight mode” you might have also skipped many important things as well HERE.

Can you recommend any flight modes for beginners? This is what my flight mode is currently.

First, you should remove the lower right boxes and save.
Then the first mode (if you calibrated your sensors) would be “HORIZON” and maybe “MAG” at the same time

Like this?

Not sure why you setup on AUX4, do you have an AUX4 setup on your Transmitter ?
The check-boxes are supposed to be selected only in one state of the AUX you want to use.

Where are they supposed to be setup? I don’t really understand these aux settings and the flight modes.

Please - Have a look at THIS page of the user manual.

I have read this but I don’t really understand it. How do AUX1,2,3 and 4 correspond to the buttons on the transmitter?

The “function” is triggered by a auxiliary channel of your transmitter.
You have to setup a switch on your transmitter to, let’s say, AUX1 which is connected to the Quadrino Nano wiring harness.

Once that’s done, you will see that AUX1 move from LOW to HIGH in WinGUI when you flip the switch.

This function will allow you to trigger ON or OFF different flight modes.

Eric,
Sorry. It’s me (John) again. I have had a successful time over the last few weeks setting everything up. I have followed the manual right through (a couple of times). I dismantled the kit and recalibrated each motor and ESC. I used your software and the new cable to update the transmitter settings. Flashing info to the nano is going well. Using WinGuI, I had calibrated the ACC and MAG a few times and tried setting the Horizon mode on the AUX1 or Gear channels. With no props, WinGuI claims that Horizon mode is on and the motors respond to the transmitter commends. When I put it all together, no matter what I do, when I try to take off, the drone flips. I arm it and then slowly increase the throttle, but every time (about ten now) it starts to look like it will take off, then flips forward or sideways. Am I missing something? thanks. John
