Litter robot 4, main board/ motherboard

Our litter robot 4 blinks a single red light upon turning on (not the whole light bar, only below the power button). I believe the issue is the motherboard/main board right below the buttons. Is this part available to purchase? The only board I’m finding is for the cat sensor with the lights, which happens to be right near the board I’m looking for.

Thanks for the help.

Kind regards,

you’re seeing *multiple unrelated failures so I am sure that its motherboard itself is the most likely culprit, (no lights, no response, no normal boot behavior) and if other parts like the power supply and cables have already been checked.
I am sure your problem is solved till now but I commented for the new readers

Can I get an email to buy this part again? Thanks !

Main/mother board was the issue for those searching for the answer.

Hello @AllisonLewis

Welcome to the RobotShop community!

To answer your question, if you see a flashing red and green light, the litter box needs to be recalibrated.

Before assuming the motherboard is defective, simply perform the unit recalibration, as this signal does not necessarily indicate an electronic failure.

Follow the steps in the PDF guide LR4_Scale_Recalibration_Process.pdf (1.1 MB)

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Best regards,

So.. they can sell a $450 BASE… but cant sell a $50 part that would solve this lol

Kind regards,

Good day,

I have a LR4 that went dead after a few months of being stored in a shed…no power, no lights, just dead.

I ordered a 15V 2amp power adapter to make sure it’s not the power supply and still nothing. I already had a new laser board and also replaced that and still nothing. The next and likely culprit is the motherboard but I got the same response as previously shared/discussed in this thread for my out of warranty LR4, which was bought after my reconditioned LR3 had issues and had to be returned.

Like others, I’m puzzled as to why the motherboard is not offered for the LR4, like it was for the LR3. This doesn’t instill confidence in the brand and how it treats existing customers. I’m hoping this forum can help me find a workaround.

Best,

Payman
