Keeping you up to date on changes to LMR

Only external links in
Only external links in projects and robots will be tolerated, so members can link to where products can be purchased in order to complete the project.

Hmm, does that mean I can’t link to an interesting video on YouTube showing the newest Boston Dynamics robot, a news piece on IEEE Spectrum describing new advances in robotics, or a published scientific paper, describing a new balancing model for a walking robot? That’s harsh.

Of course you can. What we

Of course you can. What we are talking about here are users that spam links to online stores. Using LMR to market there store or products. It is encouraged that members post videos or news about robotics.

About “where to get parts” posts

Posts like “Tha 0.99$ shipped list”, how they fall on the rules?
It’s not advertisement by the vendor, it’s just a search for the best cheap parts available.

This post is fine.

This post is fine. The user does not have any affiliation with the products. As mentioned It’s member generated and helps other users.

Ok

Finding good cheap parts it’s half of the work at the beginning. I have a low budget, so finding parts at lower cost lets me make robots that wouldn’t have been possible.

When you say original logo,

I see the tagline that was there for nearly 5 years is gone. What gives?

Previous Logo

Thank you for your comment. The logo that was there just before also did not have the tagline. We just removed the extra bars and moved the little robot to the position it was at in the original logo. Hope this helps.
