Update:
Urdf and champ controller testing
First top cover came out ok. Added place for t-track rails. This part will be reprinted. Front wing became to thin.
Anyone here have some experience with FSR matrix multi array sensors?
I was looking on different approaches on foot sensors and a solution like this would be interesting.
Something Like this:
If anyone has a tip of a product with max dimensions of 6x2cm with multi sensing capabilities. Let me know!
Or I create me own smaller array with 8 of this:
This will of course not give the same resolution as the sensor above. But maybe good enough.
any feedback or tips?
Milestone achieved for #K3lso First time standing on his own feet’s to measure power consumption while standing. Box was removed and it hold this pose at 1.4A. (Battery included at almost 1kg at the bottom)
Great
Could you remove the box underneath it?
I was wondering, how does position of the robot looks like when there is no power at all?
The box was of course removed when I did the test
I will send u a pic of the robot in powerless mode when I get come from my bike ride
Working on head and integration of two d435i and neopixels. Also calculating fov angles for optimal angle placement (still in progress)
This looks like it would fit perfectly with the robots from the video game portal as their “loyal companion”. Personally prefer the white and black… wouldn’t even paint it.
Thanks @cbenson! We will see. I think my kids also wants another color so it will be a family decision
update;
about to finish the first design of the head:
It seems that yellow color is default color for this type of robot
Haha yeah. I have to admit I like yellow:-)
Project update:
Quick test of headlights
First half of bottom cover is done
Some new toys for the head:
Xavier NX is ordered and custom carrier board expected next week.
Head is in printer now and finished in around 43h
It’s gone a be a good week!
Wow
It’s looking nicer and nicer. If you’re going to do yellow, consider camo or matte yellow?
Yeah matte yellow in that case it is. I am also consindering matte army green
I have started thinking of the future sensor Project.
My idea is to create an silionce mold for the foot with 16 FSR-sensors in each foot.
ADC multiplexer to reduce wirings through the entire body/leg.
Using a Tinypico mouted like this on the knee joint
and RS485 and a 12V stepdown to use the dynamixel RS485 to send with dynamixel protocol
feedback?
Stunning! This is the first build that gave me a real desire to have a 3D printer.
Thanks man!
I agree with this I am seriously thinking of buying it, even if I know I don’t have much time to use it
