How to Make a Robot - Lesson 9: Assembling a Robot

it’s wonderful but when u will release lesson 10

The CAD files can be found here: RB-Rbo-12

are the prints to make the frame available online or from the website? im trying to make the exact robot you guys are building in the tutorial. except i would like mine to have a camera on it. i have a Sony FCB IX 11 camera cube, Sony has left it pretty open ended so i believe i will be able to integrate it.

thanks

Hi this is a great tutorial for freshers in robotics…nice job admin…!!!
Also personally … i’m a newbiee…so wanna help from u guyz a lot …my mail id is [email protected]… any one ready to help me …just mail…we will have our conversation over there…

can’t wait for the 10’th lesson… very good materials. like thiss !!

I am an electronics and communication engineering student.
THE LESSONS ARE INTERESTING, WOW AWESOME,

SIIIIIIII!!! ;D GENIAL! QUIERO MAS! GRACIAS POR EL ESFUERZOO!!

Thank you for your excellent lessons
although I am a beginner in the robotic field, however, I found your approach very easy and interesting. What if I have a specific question regarding some topics in robotics? how can I send you the question and where can I find your answer?

Many thanks for your valuble time

For this robot, why we dont need the servos motor?

@sang rasmey The design uses DC gear motors for propulsion, and the practical example uses servos for the pan/tilt. Most RC servo motors only rotate 180 degrees and a few can provide continuous rotation.

Good afternoon. I received a robotics kit but unfortunately I do not know how to use it. I have pictures of it but I cannot post it in this comment. I’d like some help regarding it. Can I ask for a confact info please?

@Louie Boloron If the product was purchased through RobotShop, feel free to post on the RobotShop Forum (you can upload images there too).

Okay, thanks for the response!!!

But it seems I finally figured out some things. Thanks for the offer, nonetheless.

do you have any videos on how to make a robots, we really need it…
hope i get some reply’s from you… thank you

@jhoy Unfortunately we do not have any videos at this time.

I don’t get the battery part. What battery do I use and where do I connect it to?

@will The battery should be connected to the motor controller. The battery’s voltage should match the motor’s nominal voltage. Given the same voltage and chemistry, a higher battery capacity normally means the robot will last longer.

are you saying that all the batteries’ combined voltage should match the motor’s nominal voltage?
