How to Make a Drone / UAV – Lesson 6: Get it All Working Together

@Kaneki Unfortunately that is beyond the scope of this series.

Thanks a lot, the tutorials were awesome and very helpful to me.

Mr.Benson I am quite interested in manufacturing drones, I have some questions can I please get your email or you can message me as well . Thank you

@Mark You can create a new topic on the RobotShop Forum, or send an e-mail to [email protected]. Note that we do not provide design or consultation services.

can you tell me is the GPS connected to flight controller.
If connected so how?

@sawan, This will greatly be a question specific to the Flight Controller brand and model but most of the time the GPS will be connected OR part of the flight controller.

Sir, why do we need to connect ESC’s to Flight controller, isn’t transmitter and receiver enough to control motors. And if flight comtroller is a necessity, is it possible to program it with labview…inshort I’m heck lot of confused right now…please help me out and thanks in advance

@Paras sharama The flight controller handles stability and needs to control the motors. If you connect each of the ESCs directly to the receiver, stability / motion needs to be done manually, which is incredibly difficult. Labview is not commonly used in programming flight controllers.

sir really enjoyed lessons but how to programme the flight controller

@AMRITH It’s difficult to program from scratch, so we strongly suggest basing yourself off an open controller such as MultiWii.

Sir, I have read your tutorial and this is very awesome, sir i was making UAV from last 3-4 years, i just want to know that is there any software available to design (with different looks, different shapes of frame with angles, calculate its weight & thrust) for UAV/ Drone.
A software Which can do all basic calculation.

@Paul Unfortunately none that we are aware of, but feel free to search online.

I have a fs-ct6b receiver and every channel has male connectors of signal, positive and ground. also, there is a battery part, which has signal, positive and ground. Do I need to connect all the connections or just Positive and Ground on the battery part and signal on the others?

THANK YOU

@Aparna Prabhune Normally you don’t need to connect all of them - one power and one ground is enough - this can be from the flight controller (which itself is powered by a BEC).

Mr.coleman Benson can u please provide the code for the quadcopter controlled by the avr atmega16 micro controller

@raja muppalla The only well-known code we were are aware of for AVR (Arduino-based) multi-rotors is from the MultiWii project (go to their project site for details).

sir plz tell me how much motor rpm need for fly the drone.

@sunil The motor’s RPM and torque, combined with the propeller produce a thrust. It’s not just about RPM.

Sir plz tell me which bushless motor do I use for lifting weight equal to 60 kg

@Noman khan That is a massive drone and unfortunately we do not have any motor + propeller combination even close to that thrust range.
