Sir…your materials of teaching is so clear. pls give me a permission, i will use this materias to introduce aerobotic to my junior high students who love robotics. (im an art teacher, love to took picts from the above …) God bless you Sir Benson
COOL THANKS
@gatot boediman The information is public, so feel free to use it as you like.
Good stuff - thanks for providing this. If you run out of ideas for future lessons, it would be great to get suggestions for the components needed in the assembly
@Oliver Graeser The issue with suggesting specific components is that they change constantly; new products come to market and old ones are discontinued, meaning the article would not be useful for very long, or need constant updating. We are open to ideas though.
Sir I am pintu from India. First of all good morning to all of you. I want to make a drone spraying machine for agriculture purposes. Please suggest me what can i do.
@pintu kumar If you do not have any previous experience creating a custom drone, it is important to get experience by building a small before creating a drone used to spray crops. In order to carry any type of liquid in decent quantity, the drone needs to be quite large, which then makes it very dangerous.
When you will give 7th lesson
@bithal The holidays are unfortunately causing a delay in the final lesson. We hope to have it ready within January / February 2016 and apologize for the delay.
Hi @Coleman I want to design and construct a surveillance drone for my final year project. Will you advice I make use of your lessons here or are the any books you can recommend for me to buy. Am actually going to be trying this for first time and I really have to pull it off. Please advice. I have to add what you have written here for free information is mind blowing. Thank you.
@Badmos Samson We’re not aware of any books about how to build multirotors / drones, which is why we created this basic series. We hope there will be books available in the near future. If you need help with ensuring the parts you select will suit your needs and work together, feel free to create a new topic on the RobotShop Forum.
Please share some links with working code for making a Quadcoptor. Arduino based code will be comparatively helpful
Hey I am just wondering when the next lesson will come out? I am a beginner to making drones and would love as much information before I start? I would also like to know if I am able to put a 9 inch parabolic mic dish and a 3 axis camera on a 24 inch Hexa-copter?.. If not because of weight would it solve the problem if i converted the hexa-copter into a octo-copter?
@Jordan Taylor Lesson 7 will not cover that (Video / Long Range) - the 3 axis camera only affects the weight, while the parabolic dish will only be useable in a specific orientation / direction. The Dish will also be affected by wind, affecting the drone’s stability. Hexa vs octo comes down to total thrust available vs. overall weight.
Sorry , i cant find lesson 7
Where does the microcontroller go on the drone? What is it used for? Are there wifi enabled microcontrollers from Arduino?
@Shaad Khamker The microcontroller is essentially within the flight controller (a flight controller is a microcontroller with a bunch of sensors onboard).
Outstanding job of taking something messy and confusing for newbies and making very comprehensible. Thanks!!
