I received My BRAT today at 10oclock! . Tah shiping was so fast! 2 days to get here is the fastest that I ever got (I live in Canada). I cant wait to open it (I add to go somewhere) but i am going to assembled the brackets today and read the manual for the SSC-32 tonight and add the servos tomaro and start the programing. I will send a video as soon as I can (I have to take my brotherās camera⦠)
I dont know, (I took the stadard shipping) I was looking at the tracking of the package and it was goin realy fast. Actuly I never shoped at robotshop.ca (its like in Laval wich is like 45 min of car at the most ), but I am going to buy the rest of the brackets (to build better humanoides) at robotshop.ca because it cost me 102$ (nice suprize when you wake up!!) of duties , too bad they dont have the hitec servos of 168 oz an inch because I would have bought it there but i am going to have to pay the duties and buy it from lynxmotion.
Thanks Chunga, I already assemble the skeleton (brackets)
lol, it took me like 1 hour and a half maybe but I am not sure, time flies when your having fun :D:D!! I messed up at one place at the begining so it didnt take too long to fix it since it was at the begining.
i took the bot board out of my Rover and piggy backed it onto the SSC-32 with some extra standoffs that came in the BRAT kit, i know stuff can be done, but what exactly, i know that it can be wireless, but how exactly do i make the Bot Board communicate with the SSC-32 and how do i get it to execute moves?
to make it wireless your prob gonna have to make it innitiate pre programmed moves from the bb or controll it via ps2 or autonomosly. I just dont know how
yea, i knew that, but i mean how do i do the actual control things, i have them connected, the serial com. wire that jim supplied in his kit, but i dont know how i issue commands to the SSC-32 via the Bot Board
SITREP, my BRAT/Wi is online. Wife took the digital camera on her trip this w/e so pics will have to wait. Sequencer program wonāt be here until next week so Iām gonna mess with some VC6 code and see if I can get it to do anything resembling a step or two by the time it arrives. I also grabbed a couple battery packs in that order. Iāve got a bunch of 600ma NiCD packs around that work but with the WiPort active and servos screaming they donāt seem to last an hour. Could just be old packs too although the load is a lot different than an r/c plane.
Oh, Iāve kinda lazy-ed out on the Li-Ion pack thing for now. Fully charged they could be 8.2 volts and I donāt think the 5475 servos are going to like that. Iāve been spending too much time messing with power supply design at work lately and Iām just gonna skip that for the moment here. Heh.
i know i have to modify the Basic Atom and i have the PS2 hook up, i plan on trying to mode one of the hexapod codes the R/C one, hook that up, well i guess i just solved my own problem, ill be talkingto you in a little while
