As for the charger issues, we’re going beyond my understanding of electronics design. I have a tether setup whose presence switches main power to shore power and switches the battery to two spare lines in the tether so it can be charged with an off the shelf charger. If you’re thinking about a LiPoly, I think the problem involving booms has to do with shutting off the charger at the wrong time. Looking for peak voltages instead of waining current draw.
