Yes, I use 6v Nimh batteries the majority of the time and when fully charged they are higher than 6v… Just don’t try a 7.2v lipo as when they are fully charged, they go over 8v…

Thx for info, I went panic when my eyes spoted smoke. I have connected batteries once again and everything seems to work fine.
I wonder where that smoke came from. I susspect the cable leads from battery pack, they are a little thin and 18 servos do drain a lot of current, maybe
they were overheated.
Your connections seems fine, but 7.25V is a bit high for a charged 6V pack - the official reply from Hitec is that some servos can handle it while others may react negatively. Check each servo individually before doing anything else.
Can the Hitec servos run on 5VDC?
Usually 4.8 to 6v, check the specs.

You are right, i checked voltage with multimeter and it displayed 6.75V.
It’s the charger that showed me a 7.25V when it has fully charged the battery.
