gEDA for windows

so far ive downloaded and unzipped the forth large file, the geda runtime and the geda-gaf 171

from here

and i have access to "realpcb", "pcb" and "gerbv"

are these what normally makes up gEDA or is there a major chunk missing (real pcb seems like a decent enough pcb designer but i get the feeling i'm missing the ability to simulate IC conversations)

in case your wondering - this is for me to keep track as much as it is for advice

thanks

**I mailed this info to you, but, for posterity I will post it **

here too. http://wiki.geda-project.org/geda:installation

Follow the Windows install notes to a “T” and you too should have a working install. There are a few Warning boxes that will appear. You can safely ignore them for the moment.

Another link that might be even easier to make work.

I just try installing/running the file hosted there. No love at all. Seems you best stick with the original link.

thanks for the link

i’m currently multitasking while sitting in a geordie sauna so i’ll have to get back to you on this subject as my brain just cant cope

heads up

The webcache link is not a good plan. I currently have a borked install on my system and can’t figure out how to make it right-ish again. The first like I posted is the one you want to refer to.
