I have something new to look at, it is an animation that I did years ago, on an Apple 128k Macintosh.
The flip book goes faster than the computer, i.e., the computer was too slow, so I printed each of 200 frames on a large index card, and made a flip book, then I videotaped it. I will flip the pages three times:

This gait only has one leg lifting at a time, but the animation doesn’t show the leg lift. The leg just appears at the new location, 200 pixels ahead.
