Finding proper motor controllers

Hi,
I am a student and i am currently working on a robot design. I found 2 motors that suit me fine. I wanna work through arduino, but i need help about which motor controllers to choose and what else i need. I would really appreciate your help! The 2 motors are :

  1. https://www.robotshop.com/eu/en/12v-28a-3333-oz-in-nema-23-bipolar-stepper-motor.html
    2)https://www.robotshop.com/eu/en/4-stroke-150-lbs-force-linear-actuator-w-potentiometer.html

Thank you in advance,
PA

Hello @petros !

The two main characteristics you need to observe are:

  • What’s the power voltage
  • Amount of current the motor is working with

Look at this one: https://www.robotshop.com/eu/en/l298n-dual-h-bridge-stepper-motor-controller.html

Also, I’m gonna leave you here a quick tutorial to understand how it works: https://www.instructables.com/id/Control-DC-and-stepper-motors-with-L298N-Dual-Moto/

Take a look and let me know if that works for you,

Carlos.
