Basically I have zero experience with lipos but I just bought my first one, a 2s. First thing I connected it to my simple lipo charger but it would not charge it. I then connected it to my friends accucell and it gave a reading of 3.85 and the rest were zero. So appearantly one of the cells is dead, however when I measure the voltage with a multimeter between the middle connector and the two around it, it gives 3.78V and 3.78/3.79V. Now I have read they should be perfectly equal but I am confused why the charger gives zero rather then something like 3.78V. Is the lipo dead or is the charger just being picky and I can fix it in some way?
Charger might be set up for a 3s batta dn your charging a 3s? Those volatges are close enough. Does your chager have a balencing feature? Im guesing the charger is lookign for a 3rd cell or is hiiked up wrong
As for the multimeter measurements, Iits a turnigy nano-tech, where the middle wire is blue and the ones around it are black and red. With the black lead on the middle blue at all times: red: 3.79V and black: -3.78V. Hope that helps. I also read on some website that maybe there is a broken connection somewhere, however I dont suppose thats the case here since I get readings.
When you use your meter to When you use your meter to check between the black and red power wires (not the balancing wires, but the thicker ones) what is the reading?
According to the second picture it’s not reading the battery as a LiPo at all.
