first off i dont know if this is in the right place, but here goes:
i am trying to use 2 cytron md10c’s to control 2 wheelchair motor rated at 6.5 amps , 24 volts dc; i will be using to 12 volt sla batteries in series to power them, the problem is the batteries output ~25.6 volts when fully charged, will the cytron md10c be able to handle it, i know the datasheet says absolute max voltage is 25 volts.
Thanks,
Matt
If you got it working in two directions before using code, and now it only works in one direction, try re-loading the code, or creating very basic directional code (DIR pin needs to be high/low to change the direction). If this does not work, check to see if anything is fried.
Max is 25V, so there is a chance you might damage the board (grey zone here). You could also incorporate a resistor to reduce the voltage a little - it will suck up some of the power though and needs to be rated at the right current.
I got it to work without a resistor, it started out being able to go both directions, but now it will only go in one direction. any advice would be appreciated.
thanks,
Matt
