Thickness is 2 mm. I don’t know the alloy type, but it’s really harder than the previous one (also, it’s already anodized).
My carbides drills and diamond blades had a hard time !
Dimensions of the profile is 303030 mm, so I just cut to 243024. Also, it costs almost nothing, around 0.50 euro per bracket (without the price of replacing the drills and saw blades which will wear with time).
EDIT : Just made the body :
Clear 3mm Lexan sheet
looking really nice. what have you used to assemble the clear lexan panels. hot glue? conventional way is to cut out notches but yours looks just a neat.
I’ve used the conventional way. There are 4 notches in each side panel and the horizontal ones just fit in them.
WOW! looks great! Can’t wait to see it walking
Btw, I like the color!
looks great, keep up the good work!
It begins to look really like my CAD drawings.
It seems to be missing a leg
Great work.
No, I just invented a new kind of cloak of invisibility !!!
The clear body makes it hard to see the design. I see one bright red leg and then a translucent body.
Angle and lighting can help, but i get the picture!
Nice implementation!
I’ll bet you can’t wait to get that other leg!

For sure !
Got any updates on this project?
Not at the moment, got too busy with school (exams, labs, …) ans also too cold to work outside !
I’m waiting for the warm weather and then, I will come back to this project.
Put on a jacket and use a space heater… JK
Haha !
I just haven’t got enough time to work on it this year, so I’m working on other small projects :
-A powerled driver to command lights on my rover bot with PWM
-A BEC with voltage alarm to work with Li-po’s (just got the charger yesterday, still waiting for the charging cord)
And also, I spend most of my free time working on my own videogame !
PS : I hope to be able to work on the biped in two weeks
Cool! I remember when I messed around with Qbasic making simple video games. It was a lot of fun.
Yeah, but this is a really bigger project !
We started to work on this game 3.5 year ago and we hope to release a demo version in the next 3 months.
It’s an Hack’N slash like Diablo but with better graphisms.
Anyway, I just finished to adapt Li-Po and Powerled (2 x 3W) on my roverbot :
I just spent the two last afternoon to work on the biped as the sun was shining high in the sky (yeah, I got sunburns ).
The first prototype is done and I’ve begun to play around with the programmation in order to make him walk.
It’s really hard, has I made it really broad and it won’t go on a single leg by himself, so it’s more about playing with all the servos in order to make stand on a leg.
(when you look at it, it seems like he just walk on hot coal bed ! )
Will take some pictures this afternoon (have still some work for school right now ).
Ok, so here are some pics :
