Hi!
Nice work with all these smal custom parts for the tail. Very good! It looks like you dyed the servo horns too
A video of your scorpion walking ripple would be great 8)
Btw, did the body movement sequences work properly?
Hi Mike,
I received the files. I will try to get you something that sort of works. Not sure about testing it yet. So far I have downloaded the sequences to my spair SSC32. The process to do this included:
a) Replace the Atmega8 processor with the new V2.
b) Add an 8 pin memory chip to the SSC32
c) Connect it up to the latest version of SEQ and download the current Beta version of the GP sequencer firmware to the V2 chip
d) Import into SEQ the CSV file you sent me.
e) Do a Basic export - choose Atom Pro and SEQ GP sequencer EEPROM options. This generated two files.
f) Now in SEQ click on the GP SEQ button. Inside this dialog, click on the sequences button. Now click on the Load button and load in the EEP file that was generated. Then click on the Write button to download these sequences to your EEPROM on the SSC32…
g) At this point you could probably use GP sequencer Control panel button to try playing the different sequences and see what they do on your robot.
Now to start the fun part of updating the program to use it. There will several lines that look like:
serout SSC32,i38400,"PL0 SQ0 SM100 IX0 PA0", 13]
I might be able to start playing with some of that later today, but now off to other stuff…
Cool. You’re a true genius kurte.
I don’t have the V2 chip or the EEPROM chip so I guess I’ll have to get both.
That tail needs at least 2DOF, and preferrably 3DOF so it can be moved.
