I’m gathering parts to make a small relay board to switch the sound board button so he can make “Homer” quotes. This will take a couple days. Also I have a bit more painting to do. But have to give it some time for the paint to fully cure before painting over what you see in the pictures.
In the mean time he does pretty good at line following. I was surprised he could deal with the 90 turns.
I read an article about hunting and fishing shops that sell materials to make your own fishing lures should have feathers to sell. Or, you might find a local chicken farmer willing to part with some feathers. As resourceful as you are, you should be able to make them look more authentic.
I tried a every badminton shuttlecock I could find. But none were the right size to fit on this robots head.
Also I tried every feather they had in my local Bass Pro Shop to make the headdress from. I ended up going with rabbit fur as it was the closest thing I could find. Plus it does look like a headdress when held in a U shape. I added pictures showing this above.
Thanks for the good idea! But unfortunately it didn’t pan out this time. I’ve seen that episode of Tom and Jerry a bunch of times!
